Take Pepcid (Famotidine) as prescribed. The effects of the medicine may take longer than expected.
Inform your health care provider of any other antacids that are being taken and consult prior to taking this medication.
Store this medication away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.
Keep away from children and store this at a room temperature.
Missed Dose
If there is a missed dose, make up for it immediately, however, if it is near the next dose, skip it then proceed with the regular dose schedule. Do not double dose.
Overdose
If an overdose is suspected, medical attention must be sought immediately.

- This medication may cause light-headedness or dizziness in some individuals. Do not engage in activities that require mental alertness.

Common Pepcid side effects:
- Diarrhea or constipation
- Dizziness
- Headache
Consult health care provider if any of the common side effects persist.
Seek emergency medical help for severe allergic reactions such as hives, itching, rashes, difficulty of breathing, and swelling of the face, tongue, mouth, or lips.
